quick

Here are some quick pics for Aunty Alexis and Uncle Dan who are sitting in an internet cafe in Europe. We miss you!
More to come about our weekend at Princess Nico's birthday party soon.

New House

We are officially in and loving our new home and hood. Here you can see us walking through our quiet streets which are completely void of drunk neighbours and full of kids, dogs, and friendly peeps. We've got sweet raspberries growing in our backyard and even a leftover swing in our covered patio. Scott and Hayden are enjoying how much easier it is to maintain our lawn here. All in all, we're pretty much living it up and loving every minute of it.
Hayden spent his last days with Laura last week. We are sad to say goodbye to her as a daycare provider but excited to meet up with her for playdates. Tomorrow I will officially become a stay at home mom with two kids. Yikes.
Daisy's regressed a little since the move. She's a little attached to Mama and is very particular when it comes to sleeping arrangements. We made a bit of progress today when she finally drank from a bottle. Yipee for me!!!
Lots more fun ahead this summer so stay tuned.

New

Here are some shots of our new house! Included are shots of Hayden's excitement upon moving in, his first night in a big boy bed (which used to belong to Daddy and Grandpa!), and Daisy and Hayden wrestling with all the space in our new place.
We are still in the midst of chaos but its' gone a lot smoother than predicted. This is due mostly to the help of Ray Ray, Jenny, Grandma, Grandpa, Nai Nai, and Yeh Yeh. Thank you!

On the Move

We're down to the wire. A couple of more days til our big move but we're still managing to fit in some summer fun like:

Sweaty afternoon naps.

Daisy's new trick is turning over. She can roll over to her front. She loves performing this trick but hates getting stuck on her front. It's a terrible dilemma for her.

St Jean Baptiste day with the Carnies. Loads of dirty fun.

And Canada! See you on the other side soon!

Although we should be packing and getting ready for our big move, we're still managing to fit some fun in.
Happy Canada Day everyone!

For Grandma

More pics of our funfilled and steamy week to come soon. For now, here is a pic of Daddy and Daisy featuring Daddy's new do.

Happy Daddy Day!

For Jaime

Here's a shot just for you Jaime!

Ha Ha

Daisy laughed for the first time! I guess Yeh Yeh is just that funny looking.

Zoolander

I've spent quite a bit of time alone with Hayden and Daisy lately. All in all, I gotta say, it hasn't been too bad. Hayden's been pretty great about nap time and Daisy's been pretty good about putting up with Hayden. Keeping busy seems to be the key and, when all else fails, go to Nai Nai and Yeh Yeh's for cookies.

Believe it or not, Hayden posed for all of these pictures. In the first one, I told him to make a silly face, the second one is supposed to be muscle man, and for the third one, he actually walked away from me, stopped, turned, and stood still waiting for me to snap the pic. I guess this is his Blue Steel.

Some things we did to keep busy included playing with the snow behind the arena, using a magic wand and "abracadabra" (or as Hayden says it "abyacadabya") to open the doors at the grocery store, and visiting with Jaime and Dibbie. We all love playing at Dibbie's house, especially Hayden. Just look at how excited he is in the picture. Thank you Jaime and Dibbie!

Happy Day

You're how old?! Well, it's enough to make one's hair stand on end. Happy Birthday Daddy!

Spoiled

She sleeps
She smiles
She has crazy hair

You'd think now that we are officially "house poor", we'd slow down on the fun, buckle down, and get serious. Nah. We've been spoiled rotten lately. We dropped Daisy off at Nai Nai and Yeh Yeh's house and took Hayden to his first movie ever. We saw Up which was great. Hayden seemed to enjoy it and even wore his 3D glasses for a bit. We're just surprised that he didn't barf from all the junk food he ate.
Scott and I also got to go out for our first date in a long time. We went to the Billy Joel and Elton John concert last night. What a treat considering Daisy has never taken a bottle. We were lucky enough to have four babysitters: Brandi, Gesa, Jaime, and Casey! They did a fantastic job and both kids were happy and sleeping when we got home.
We are all spoiled rotten brats and loving it.

We're Back

Give us a place to stand and a place to grow
And call this land Ontario
A place to stand
A place to grow
Ontari-ari-ari-O-N-T-A-R-I-O!

That's right folks, we're moving back to the homeland. We spent most of Daddy's paternity leave finalizing the deals on the purchase of a new home and the sale of our beloved Aylmer retreat. It will be sad to say goodbye to this house but our new one is so fantastic, that I'm sure it will ease our sorrows. We are moving in the beginning of July and will post pictures then.

We are oh so proud of Daddy for quitting cigarettes while wheeling and dealing for us. What a trooper. We're missing him mighty terribly today as he is back at work. Sure wish he were here with us watching Who's the Boss.
Hayden finally got his haircut. He was sick of everyone calling him a long-haired hippy. Especially his cousin Nico and Aunty Heidi who were here for a visit this weekend. Look at Nico carefully guarding Daisy from the evil clutches of Hayden.
